ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Welcome to the festival’s web, and thanks for your visit.
This art project presents a series of performances involving modern dance, fleeing tales and classical music in a balanced, innovative, experimental joint expression.
In 2022 SPOKEN DANCE FESTIVAL is centred on the theme FUGA. We set out to stage performances in a meaningful synergy between words, dance and classical music. On stage we will investigate FUGA as a musical concept as well as the etymological meaning of the term: i.e. ‘escape’.
Moreover, we will premiere the eminent music work FUGATICA by Josefine Opsahl for cello and electronics, inspired on a magical tale by Danish astrophysicist, Michael Linden-Vørnle. More info in the programme,
The vision is to mirror the imperative need for direction in a time of crisis, we seek human connection – despite the inherently fleeting human existence – so that we together converge on an inevitable reflection about the times we live in as a postmodern society.
Kind festival greetings,
Martha Elias
